Single Origin AND Direct Trade?
Peruvian Coffee from the Chanchamayo region is absolutely fantastic! This single origin coffee in particular was the first that I can say that I really, LIKED. There’s a great deal of versatility that allows the coffee to be an either medium roast or a dark roasted coffee, though my preferred roast profile is in the Full City to Full City + range (medium roast).
I absolutely love that this coffee is Direct Trade.
Direct Trade means that the coffee has been sourced directly from the farm, cutting out middlemen buyers and sellers. This model is the best because the opportunity exists to build mutually beneficial and respectful relationships with the individual producers or cooperatives in the coffee producing countries
A fresh cup of this single origin specialty coffee bean, has a light yet medium body, slightly nutty, a touch of acidity that is distinctively unique. Look for a touch of brown sugar and cinnamon, with notes of buttery caramel. Mouth watering yet? Oh yeah, did I mention that this coffee is Direct Trade AND Organic? Well, it is.
